作詞者方文山原本是想以「青銅器」的銘文及形象，象徵愛情的神秘、堅貞、及永恆；但聽到周杰倫寫下的曲調如此溫柔婉約後，卻聯想到江南煙雨的畫面，於是改以柔美中帶點脆弱的「青花瓷」為寫作題材，描繪東方女性的美。

「在瓶底書漢隸仿前朝的飄逸/就當我為遇見妳伏筆……」歌詞中的「前朝」暗指前世，前世中於瓶底留下的字，終將於幾世的輪迴後再次被命定的有緣人看到，成就一段不斷輪迴、不斷相遇、而又無比堅貞的美麗愛情。

The lyricist Fang Wenshan originally wanted to use the inscription and image of "bronze ware" to symbolize the mystery, loyalty, and eternity of love; but after hearing the gentle and graceful melody written by Jay Chou, he thought of the scene of Jiangnan misty rain, so he changed it to The "blue and white porcelain" which is soft yet a bit fragile is used as the writing subject to depict the beauty of oriental women.

"Writing on the bottom of the bottle in the style of the previous dynasty/Just think of it as a foreshadowing of my meeting with you..." The "previous dynasty" in the lyrics refers to the previous life. The words left on the bottom of the bottle in the previous life will eventually be in the next life. After reincarnation, they are seen again by their destined partner, thus creating a beautiful love story of constant reincarnation, constant encounters, and incomparable loyalty.
